Commutation Plaza, Liverpool

Project: Commutation Plaza

Employer: The Regenda Group

Procurement Framework: Not applicable

Location: Liverpool

Value: £4.3m

Programme: 93 weeks

Works Description: A design and construction contract, Commutation Plaza is one of the most significant and prestigious regeneration developments undertaken in Liverpool’s Cultural Quarter.

The scheme occupies a prime city centre location, close to famous architectural landmarks -  St Georges Hall and the Walker Art Gallery – and offers 13,000 ft2 of headquarter offices and 60 space basement car parking. In addition, the part five storey and part three storey complex provides a further 49 apartments of which six are penthouses.

Commutation Plaza presented substantial logistical challenges for our construction team, not least of which was the very tight site which meant that careful co-ordination of material supplies and minimal re-handling on site was required. Constantly in the public eye, our personnel ensured that the works did not interfere with surrounding businesses or users of roads and pathways and the successful completion is testament to the skills and expertise of our management team.
