Works Description: The St John’s Community Mental Health Assessment Unit provides locally based, user focused, accessible mental health services for the residents of Widnes and surrounding areas.

The new centre provides administrative, clinical and residential services facilities. The administrative function is located at one corner of the new buildings and is the only two-storey element, featuring curved elevations and glazed atrium to the large reception and waiting room.

Immediately adjoining the administrative block are the consulting facilities, beyond which lie therapy rooms and the residential bedrooms; complimented by treatment, interview, dining, bathrooms and staff facilities.

The scheme was the winner in both the Halton and Cheshire LABC Awards.
