Widnes Rugby Union Club thanks Cruden Construction.
Cruden Construction is presently constructing 20 new houses and 16 new flats for local client Halton Housing Trust, off Heath Road in Widnes, adjacent to which is Widnes Rugby Union Football Club.
The club had a plan to carry out various refurbishment works to their facilities in late 2015 and requested any assistance Cruden could offer to help them complete this task quickly, efficiently and safely.
As part of our renowned ‘Escalate in the Community’ CSR initiative and in accordance with the very best principles of the ‘Considerate Constructors’ scheme, our Contracts Manager, Paul Slavin and our Site Manager, David Craig liaised with club officials about how we could help, and decided that we could supply a light weight scaffold to erect new goal posts and complete new car park road line markings at the front of the club.

In a letter to Cruden Construction, Sam Cook Treasurer at the club, commented: “On behalf of the club I would like to express our sincere thanks to Crudens for the help provided in finishing our recent refurbishment work and in particular for the loan of the lightweight scaffold to erect our new goalposts and the new line markings at the front of the club. Without your help, we would have struggled to complete the refurbishment on time”.
