Stayed the Distance Run the Race
The English Half Marathon was run on Sunday 20th September in Warrington with some 5,000 dedicated runners taking on a challenging course. Many participants took part to raise money for local charities and some competed against the clock to achieve personal best times.
Cruden was delighted that five of our employees entered and completed the course, to raise money for local charity and care provider Warrington Community Living (WCL) who provide support for older people and those with learning difficulties.
The money raised by our runners through sponsorship, with many sponsors coming from their work colleagues, will go towards upgrading their vehicles that provide an essential service for the people WCL support.
Our picture shows our 5 entrants before the race; looking forward to competing against each other to claim bragging rights, as Cruden's best distance runner.
By the way, bragging rights go to Joe Carroll (far right in picture), who completed the half marathon in 1 hour 34 minutes.
