Stalwart Company Engineer Retires

Cruden Group has marked the retirement of stalwart Company Engineer, Tom Sheehy, on 24th February with a retirement presentation at the company’s Head Office, Hillcrest in Warrington.

Tom has been an employee with Cruden for a magnificent 46 years and 24 days and is Cruden’s longest served employee to date. When he joined Cruden, Edward Heath was Prime Minister, Richard Nixon was President of the United States and George Harrison was topping the UK pop charts with ‘My Sweet Lord’.

Ian Woolrich, Managing Director of Cruden Construction, led the presentation to Tom, witnessed by many colleagues from all parts of the company. Ian commented on Tom’s length of service, his early career and milestones throughout his 46 years of service, noting that Tom is held in the highest esteem by his colleagues and work mates for his “loyal, hard-working, truthful and professional approach” to his job.
