North West LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017

Two projects completed by Cruden Construction in 2016 have been selected as finalists in the North West Local Authority Building Control – 2017 LABC North West Building Excellence Awards which will be presented at the Emirates Old Trafford on Friday 19th May 2017.

The first finalist in the Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development’ category is Brentfields, a design and construction scheme of 36 new homes in a mix of twenty family houses and sixteen flats in Widnes, completed for Halton Housing Trust.

Our second finalist in the Best High Volume New Housing Development’ is Longridge Drive Phase 2, a design and construction scheme of twenty six new homes in Heywood completed on behalf of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing.

Both schemes, procured through the Innovation Chain North West Procurement Framework, have been nominated for their excellence by independent Local Authority Building Control Officers as the essence of good buildings from a construction and technical building control point of view. The nominations celebrate the design and construction teams that worked closely together to find innovative and creative solutions to deliver these sustainable schemes that have benefitted local communities and enhanced the built environment.

This is the eighth year in succession that the quality of construction delivered by our skilled builders has been recognised by the LABC and we congratulate our management teams on both of these latest schemes on reaching the Awards Finals.
