Focus on the Customer leads to Triple Framework Success
Cruden Construction is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a partner contractor on three important construction procurement frameworks for new contracts in the North West of England between 2016 and 2020.
Firstly, Cruden Construction will be one of three contractors on the Torus Group New Build Housing and Site Preparation Contractors Framework which will develop low cost housing across the Torus operating area predominantly in St Helens and Warrington.
The purpose of the Framework, which will deliver between 300-500 new homes over the length of the agreements is to provide homes constructed to high quality levels with lower construction and associated design costs. In addition Torus is seeking to increase levels of sustainability resulting in lower whole life costs and costs in use through lower energy consumption for customers. The first projects are expected to commence in the spring of 2017.
Secondly, Cruden Construction has won a place on the highly successful Cutting Edge Registered Provider Framework and will work in Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Lancashire to deliver new homes for the Framework members.
It is anticipated that the framework could provide between £138m and £172m of new business opportunity to Cruden Construction from the members, consisting of Magenta Living; Plus Dane Group, Progress Housing Group; The Regenda Group; The Riverside Group; Symphony Housing Group; Together Housing Group and Sovini Group Ltd.
In winning a place on this framework, Cruden Construction will assist framework members to deliver efficiencies and cost benefits across their development programmes, focusing on delivering excellent developments through early project involvement and maximising value for money.
Thirdly, Cruden Group has won a place on the new North West Construction Impact Framework designed to replace lowest price tendering with real partnering relationships which re-invest a proportion of profits into projects that support local communities.
Cruden has won a place on four of the Framework’s six lots covering housing, general construction, fit out/refurbishment and mechanical & electrical services for individual works contracts up to a value of £5m.
These latest Framework successes demonstrate Cruden Construction’s continuing ability to meet very stringent procurement standards and we look forward to announcing individual contracts arising through these new opportunities.
