FD leads the way with a ‘Shave Down’ to start Cruden’s Movember
Cruden Group took a bald first step with its ‘Movember 2016’ campaign, with Finance Director Simon Burrows’s brave ‘Sign-up and Shave Down’ for the charity.
Management Accountant Nikki Upton did the clipping, and well and truly fleeced her boss, with a close crop, chop and lop which left Simon suitably tonsured and silky-smooth headed in less than five minutes.
Simon took his haircut as the launch event of Cruden Group’s support of the annual ‘Movember.Com’ drive, which aims to raise funds for men’s health. ‘Movember’ focuses on three urgent issues - Prostate cancer, Testicular cancer and Suicide prevention.
Cruden Group has pledged to double any monies raised by its staff members, and are looking to raise £2,000 during the month.
Simon Burrow said: “Whilst my haircut was a light-hearted challenge, the Movember campaign does have a very serious side. I have been personally touched many times by close family, friends suffering with cancer, mental illness - and had some very close scrapes.
Cruden Group takes a highly proactive stance on personnel wellbeing and preventive healthcare, with initiatives to help staff members stay well and to seek early advice and intervention on health issues.”
