Cruden Volunteers run for local community care provider
A team of Cruden volunteers supported Warrington Community Living by running and raising funds in the Warrington half marathon and 10 kilometre fun run on Sunday, 16th September.
Warrington Community Living was established in 1991 and has a long history of supporting people in Warrington. It is a local charity that seeks to support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older people, people with dementia and people experiencing mental health issues to lead their lives in a purposeful, healthy and enjoyable way as full and equal members of their local community. They do this through the provision of residential homes and supported living schemes, provision of short breaks for children and young people as well as other forms of support for individuals in the community.
Cruden Group was delighted to support this local organisation and congratulations go to our team of runners who gave up their time to train and run in the event.
Pride of place goes to Steve Woods, who completed the Half Marathon in a fantastic 2 Hours, 8 Minutes & 16 Seconds!
In the 10k run, four Cruden athletes recorded fantastic personal achievements with recent starter Paul Welsh completing the course in 54 Minutes, Nick Sainthouse in 58 minutes, Mark Stokey in 59 Minutes and Tom Armstrong in 62 minutes.
