Cruden Group wins prestigious EDI Grand Award
Cruden Group has won The National Centre for Diversity Grand Award as the top performing ‘Construction Sector’ company for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).
The awards, presented at the Birmingham Conference Centre on January 20th saw Cruden Group HR & Training Manager, Michelle Swarbrick accompanied by colleagues from the company’s EDI Steering Group receive the award on behalf of all Cruden employees. Over 240 people attended the awards ceremony with the construction sector well represented by a number of leading companies.
Cruden Group was ranked highly by The National Centre for Diversity as the 16th best company in the UK for EDI. The construction sector is widely regarded as being somewhat behind other sectors in this important area and so it was with great delight that Cruden Group’s commitment to EDI, (Cruden is the first UK company to achieve the National Centre for Diversity’s “Leaders in Diversity” accreditation) was recognised with the Grand Award as the top performing ‘Construction Sector’ company for EDI.
In a separate category recognising ‘Leaders in EDI’, Michelle Swarbrick was a shortlisted nominee and was highly commended for her work and guiding voice to Cruden Group on EDI over several years.
